College Park/Sandy Spring (MD) Silhouettes

In February 2012, five (5) of the wives of the men of the Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. College Park/Sandy Spring MD Alumni Chapter met to discuss the creation of a CPSS MD Silhouettes chapter. That group included Jaqeee Cooke Dean, Renee Graves, Monique Salahuddin, and Sonja Osborne. The energy and preliminary work of these Silhouettes in 2012 was continued in February 2013 with a Charter Committee comprised of Jaqee Cooke Dean, Renee Graves, Sonja Osborne, Monique Salahuddin, Brandi V Gladden, and Melissa Clarke-Bruce.

The Chartering Committee worked closely with Eastern Province Silhouettes Coordinator Shirley Pinckney, who was extremely helpful in educating the CPSS Silhouettes about the chartering process. The Committee also worked with Daniel Wilson, Polemarch of the Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. College Park/Sandy Spring MD Alumni Chapter, who provided his individual support and the support of the Chapter.

On Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Martin’s Camelot in Upper Marlboro, MD, the Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. College Park/Sandy Spring MD Silhouettes Chapter was officially chartered with twenty-seven (27) Silhouettes, in a ceremony presided over by Eastern Province Silhouettes Coordinator Pinckney. The Silhouettes Chartering ceremony was a part of the Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. CPSS MD Charter Day
